What to bring with you:
- one pair of leather boots or hiking boots
- one pair of rubber boots (insulated ones are good, especially on the late hunts)
- one pair of camp shoes
- two pairs of gloves and cap
- two warm coats (down or wool); especially for hunts in late September and mid-October
- undergarments
- wool socks
- rain clothes
- 2 pairs of wool shirts and pants
- binoculars
- spotting scope if you have one
- knife
- rifle and ammo (rifles most commonly used and adequate for hunting here range from 270, 30.06, 7 mm and 300 Magnum)
- flashlight
- camera and film
- day pack
- personal belongings
Notes:
- A foam sleeping pad and bedding, rifle scabbard and saddle bags will be provided by us.
- Limit your gear to two medium sized duffel bags, or 60 pounds (28 kg).
- A hunter has to fill out a Canadian Firearms Declaration Form when crossing at a border.
